2016 Resolutions | Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is a feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s theme is: Top Ten Resolutions We Have For 2015 (can be bookish, personal resolutions, “I resolve to finally read these 10 books, series I resolve to finish in 2015, etc.)

I'm always so bad at making resolutions than I can't even remember the last time I did it. But, it doesn't mean I can't try this year, right? Actually, making a list of resolutions is a resolutions, right? I'll focus more on reading/blogging resolutions, because it's what we're here for obviously ;)

1. Read 120 books

If we're friends on Goodreads, you might remember I read 223 books in 2015 *gasps* I'm impressed with myself, but I'm scared a little. Because of the amount of books I read last year, I sometimes felt burn out and had a harder time enjoying the book I was reading (that's what happens when you read a book a day during the month of June...). For that, I want to read less, even if the number I choose means 10 books per month

2. Reread at least 5 books

For the past two years, I haven't reread anything, except Harry Potter here or there. I want that to change and make time for reread. It's even better because it makes us ready for the sequel. Sometimes, last year, I had to read recaps of what had happened in a book to pick up the sequel.

3. DO NOT be late on reviews. Write the review before starting a new book.

When I first started blogging in June, I always wrote the review after I finished the book. But the more time passed, the more I became lazy (well, it's also because of uni). For two months, I was always three reviews late and I don't want that anymore. For example, I reviewed Carry On by Rainbow Rowell a month after I read it and I hadn't wrote anything about it. That was challenging

4. Comment on more blogs

I haven't been very good at this, because most of the time, I'm lazy. At least I make an effort to reply to your comments and comment back but I'd like to do more than this.

5. Keep up with all the reading challenges

- Flights of Fantasy: 50 books
- Retelling challenge : 16-20 books
- 2016 debut author challenge : 15 books

6. Be more active on social media

I always suck at that but I've been trying harder when I was on holidays. I need to continue :)

7. Balance reading, blogging and uni

For the first semester of this year (Fall 2015), I read a lot, even if I had class. Sometimes, I felt like I spent more time reading and blogging than studying. I don't want that again.

8. Bullet journaling

I had no idea what this was until I saw people talking about it on Twitter and I was so intrigued. I started my journal a week ago and I intend to keep up, because it's so much fun (I'm a list addict).

9. Write

When people did NaNoWriMo in 2015, I was envious. I wanted to make the time for it but it was an awful month because I had so many papers to turn in. I realized it's been three years since I last wrote and I'd like to do it again. I'm not saying I could win NaNo, though.

10. Bookstagram more

I now have an Instagram account but I almost never post on it, my bad. I want to do it more this year, because I love seeing other's pictures, but also to take my own!

Do you have reading/blogging resolutions this year? Personal ones?
