2015 releases I meant to get to but didn't | Top Ten Tuesday

I can't believe there is no filter and the cover looks like that, it's crazy.
Top Ten Tuesday is a feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s theme is: Top Ten 2015 releases we meant to get to but didn't. The thing is, I read most of the 2015 releases I was excited for, I think I might have less than fifteen left!

Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff : It must have been the most hyped book of the Fall... And I still haven't read it. But I only bought the copy a week ago so I have reasons? I just hope I won't be the black sheep.

Frozen Tides by Morgan Rhodes ; I love Falling Kingdoms so much, but I forgot to preorder the book and then it was the holidays... So I'll have it for my birthday in February ;)

Legacy of Kings by Eleanor Herman : It was released in August and I have it since the end of October, what am I waiting for?

Wandering Star by Romina Russel : I really enjoyed the first one, because it was a sci-fi with houses based upon Zodiac signs! I'm excited to read this one!

Walk on Earth a Stranger by Rae Carson : It is such a pretty book OMG but I know it'll be slow and mostly a trip so I want to wait for when I have a lot of time.

The Secret Fire by C.J. Daugherty and Carina Rozenfeld : I wanna read it because Carina Rozenfeld is French, okay? And I'm proud she wrote in English with the help of C.J. Daugherty!

The Golden Specific by S.E. Grove : Like an idiot, I bought The Glass Sentence as a paperback... So now I have to wait for The Golden Specific to be released in paperback... In June.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone: the Illustrated edition : I need to do it. But I'm scared that if I read it I'll want to reread all the series and there are other books I need to read so what do I do?

Hello, Goodbye and Everything in Between by Jennifer E. Smith : I'm waiting for the paperback, because I won't buy it as an hardcover, even if I found her books soooo cute.

Spinning Starlight by R.C. Lewis : Stitiching Snow was the first book I finish this year so it's normal I haven't read it yet. It's a companion but I'm still excited!

Have you read all the 2015 releases you were excited for? Which one(s) do you still need to read?

  1. I saw so much about Illuminae during December but never got the chance to even think about reading it with the amount of book on my TBR!
I LOVE the sound of Romina Russel's Zodiac series, have just checked out the first book on Goodreads and it looks realy good.
I just got the Illustrated edition of HP for Christmas and haven't had the chance to look at it properly yet but I am super excited to properly check it out at some point.
I really hope that you get to read these books in 2016!

    1. Thank you! I'm already halfway through The Secret Fire so I'm least I'm trying to get through all of those books! Illuminae is an hyper-hyped book, but at this point I think a lot of people read it and the hype is finally dying down. Yes, Zodiac has such an interesting world, I hope you'll get to read it! The Illustrated Edition of HP will probably be read in a time of reading slump for me, haha!

  2. Illuminae is a popular choice. Not my usual genre but I am also intrigued.

    1. The format intrigues me so much! I wanna know how the authors managed to tell the story like that.

  5. I know exactly how you feel about the Illustrated edition of HP and the Philosopher's Stone! Whenever I watch the movies, or even come across some HP fact, I want to reread one of the books again...and that turns into the whole series after a bit!

    1. Harry Potter is kind of a drug, when I come to think of it... Hum hum... What did J.K. Rowling to us? :o

  6. ILLUMINAE. Lucie, you need to read Illuminae ASAP. It is absolutely amazing and you won't regret it. Definitely one of my favorite books of 2015. And Wandering Star and Walk on Earth a Stranger are amazing too. :) Thanks for sharing and, as always, fabulous post! ♥
